As site clearance specialists, we offer mechanical/manual tree felling and devegetation with a fully qualified, experienced team. We are equipped with our own comprehensive range of state-of-the-art plant, and work as both main contractors and subcontractors across the UK and Ireland. 

Fast, efficient site clearance and devegetation

We can accommodate all types of scrubland, woodland, forestry and motorway/highway clearance. Our extensive range of state-of-the-art machinery rapidly clears and/or thins densely populated land efficiently and cost-effectively.

Our wide range of specialist all-terrain site clearance plant includes excavators with tree shears, selector grabs, winches, CBI grinders, CBI whole tree chippers, tractors and mulchers.

The latest addition to our site clearance fleet is our John Deere 1510G forwarder with a Dutch Dragoon press collector. We can move, grind or chip wood into stockpile, or, using our own licensed transport fleet, we are also able to remove all waste wood and brash for recycling.

As qualified arborists, our site clearance services range from selective felling to promote the health and growth of a woodland, to complete tree, stump and root removal with a seedbed finish that’s fit for development.

Where the terrain is too steep or unsuitable for mechanical tree felling, our team of fully qualified arborists will fell trees manually. This ensures we can deliver the best possible clearing service for the specific site conditions.

Forest and woodland ash dieback management

The Woodland Trust estimates ash dieback will lead to an estimated 80% loss of the UK’s ash trees. While it recommends that pre-emptive and wide-scale felling of ash is to be avoided wherever possible, it is likely that infected trees will eventually succumb to the virus and need to be felled.

Our fully qualified and CHAS approved team is experienced in felling dying and dangerous ash trees. Where ash trees require sectional felling, this should be done at an early stage of the decline to minimise the climbing risk posed by rotting bases and fragile crowns. Where manual felling isn’t necessary, we are able to use mechanical methods, including excavators with tree shears, to safely fell the trees.

Roadside clearance and devegetation

Anstee Services provides a comprehensive highway and motorway clearance service. We appreciate roadside devegetation often necessitates nightshift and weekend work, as well as strict adherence to deadlines.

Our state-of-the-art equipment is fast and efficient, allowing us to complete work as scheduled and to the highest of standards.

Special machinery features for highway and motorway clearance include wheeled or rubber tracked excavators to prevent damage to tarmac, long-reach excavators to reach most embankments from the hard shoulder, and a side-loading chipper suitable for working on the hard shoulder. Our tree shears also facilitate soft felling, ensuring a low impact on ecology by minimising ground disturbance.
